We're looking for an experienced Truck and Dog Driver to join our team at Rapid Premix. You'll be responsible for safely operating a truck and dog trailer combination, transporting goods to and from quarry to our yard at Pakenham, and delivering a high standard of service to our customers. The role suits a reliable, safety-minded driver who takes pride in their work.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate truck and dog combination vehicles, including coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Carry out pre-start and daily vehicle inspections, and report any defects promptly
- Load, secure and unload cargo in line with safety requirements
- Plan routes and delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Complete accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and paperwork
- Maintain a clean, safe and compliant vehicle at all times
- Communicate professionally with customers, site staff and the office
About you
- Minimum of 1 year's recent experience driving a truck and dog combination
- Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence, with a valid medical certificate
- Sound knowledge of road rules, load restraint and fatigue management requirements
- Positive communication skills and a professional attitude
- Strong commitment to safety and a clean driving record
