About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team at our Morisset NSW location on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our service department, managing technicians, scheduling, customer relations and ensuring all work meets our high standards of quality. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our business. Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage service technicians, providing guidance, support and performance feedback to ensure quality workmanship
- Schedule service appointments and allocate work to technicians based on skills, availability and workload
- Oversee all aspects of forklift servicing, maintenance and repair operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing enquiries, concerns and service requests promptly and professionally
- Monitor inventory of parts and materials, coordinating ordering and stock management to minimise downtime
- Track service metrics, including job completion times, customer satisfaction and technician performance
- Prepare reports on service department performance and identify opportunities for process improvements




- Ensure all work is documented accurately and that records are maintained in accordance with industry standards
- Communicate effectively with management on departmental performance, staffing needs and operational challenges
- Support the development and training of service technicians to enhance their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar supervisory role within the automotive trades or forklift servicing sector
- Strong knowledge of forklift maintenance, repair and servicing procedures, or transferable experience in vehicle or equipment servicing
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians effectively
- Excellent organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with service management software and computer systems
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and compliance obligations
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving service delivery and efficiency
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in automotive servicing or equipment maintenance are highly desirable
