Trojan Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Steel Yardsperson / Forklift Driver to join a busy steel galvanising operation. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, moving steel products around the yard, and safely handling long steel loads up to 18 metres using a forklift.
Previous experience handling long loads is essential. Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment.
Monday–Friday, 5am–1pm, with an immediate start and potential for regular work.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Moving, loading and unloading steel products around the yard
- Handling and positioning long steel loads safely
- Operating forklifts to move materials and assist with loading and unloading
- Assisting with the preparation of steel products for galvanising
- Supporting production staff with daily operations
- Performing general yard duties and labouring tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a steel yard, labouring, warehousing or general hand role
- Steel Yardsperson applicants must have experience handling and moving long steel loads
- A current LF forklift licence is essential
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, hands-on environment Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current Australian Drivers licence and reliable transport
- Reliability and valuable attendance record
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
