Job Overview:
We are seeking a 3rd or 4th year Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in service work maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, particularly those used in power generators. If you are skilled in generator systems and enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Your role will include but not be limited to installing, maintaining and repairing generator sets, lighting towers and compressors, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Pre-delivery of various current units.
- Upfitting of new generators to customer specifications.
- Field servicing and workshop servicing.
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in diesel-powered generators.
- Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to safety and operational standards.
- Breakdown callouts.
- Available to travel interstate and overseas if required.
- Be available for on call rotations (once confident with Genelite generators).
- Be available for overtime if needed (only on occasion, not a weekly requirement).
- Work independently and within a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed service records of all work performed.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, particularly in generator applications.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $31.00 – $38.00 per hour
