Accountant – Full Time Taste of Italy Whitford Pty Ltd Location: Armadale, Perth WA 6112 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per annum plus superannuation Hours: 38 hours per week About the Role Taste of Italy Whitford Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team at our Armadale office, supporting the financial operations of our hospitality business in Hillarys, Western Australia. We are seeking someone who can take responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis while working closely with management to support day-to-day financial operations and long-term business planning. Key Responsibilities - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

- Review and analyse business income, expenses, operating costs and financial performance.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts and management reports.
- Monitor key financial indicators, including revenue, cost of goods sold, labour costs, gross margins and profitability.
- Conduct budget variance analysis and recommend improvements.
- Analyse food costs, supplier pricing, menu profitability and operating expenses.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and review accounting processes and internal controls.
- Review financial information recorded in Xero, Lightspeed and other business systems.
- Prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation for BAS, GST, PAYG and company taxation requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including accruals, provisions and accounting adjustments.




- Liaise with external accountants, auditors and relevant authorities.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support business performance and future planning. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant professional accounting experience, particularly in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel, including financial reporting and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to management.

Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry will be highly regarded. Familiarity with Lightspeed or similar point-of-sale systems would also be an advantage. CPA or CA membership, or progress towards a professional accounting qualification, is desirable but not essential.
