Admin & Accounts Assistant (Remote | Flexible Hours)

Hours: Approximately 25–30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. Ideal for: Experienced accounts and administration professionals seeking genuine flexibility, including school-friendly hours.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Admin & Accounts Assistant to join our small, close-knit team at Skipp Electrics. While this position involves a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities, a strong foundation in accounts is essential. We're looking for someone who is genuinely confident managing accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, payroll support and financial processes — not someone who has simply had exposure to these tasks.

Ideally, you'll also bring an understanding of broader financial operations, including cash flow, reporting and the ability to identify opportunities to strengthen existing systems and processes.

That said, technical experience is only one part of what we're looking for.

We're a small, friendly and team-oriented team, and personality matters enormously to us. We're looking for someone who is approachable, positive, down-to-earth and genuinely enjoys building relationships with the people they work alongside.

You'll work closely with our Admin Manager and leadership team, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable communicating openly, sharing ideas, asking questions and taking initiative.

We don't expect you to know everything, but we do need someone with the experience and confidence to take ownership of their responsibilities, work through challenges independently and recognise when something needs attention.

Ultimately, we're looking for someone who brings both capability and character — someone who knows their way around accounts but is equally happy to have a laugh with the team.
