About the role

Ready to lead civil construction on one of North Queensland's major renewable energy projects?

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Superintendent (Civil) to join our team delivering the Majors Creek Project, located near Woodstock, approximately 40km south of Townsville.

Reporting to the Area Manager - Civil, you'll take ownership of day-to-day civil construction operations, leading supervisors, construction crews and subcontractors to deliver works safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You'll oversee construction planning, resource allocation, programme performance and cost management while working closely with engineering, project management and delivery teams to resolve challenges and maintain progress. This is a senior site leadership opportunity where you'll have a direct influence on construction outcomes, workforce performance and the successful delivery of a major renewable energy project.

About the Majors Creek Project





Be part of one of North Queensland's major renewable energy projects, right on Townsville's doorstep and on the traditional lands of the Bindal People. Located near Woodstock, approximately 40km south of Townsville, the Majors Creek Project is being delivered by DT Infrastructure for Edify Energy.

The project forms part of a major solar and battery storage energy development that will deliver renewable generation and large-scale battery storage to support Queensland's future energy needs. With construction expected to create around 400 jobs and significant investment flowing through local businesses and suppliers, Majors Creek is creating exciting opportunities for the Townsville region.

For Townsville locals, this is an opportunity to work on a major renewable energy project close to home, while contributing to Queensland's clean energy future.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day civil construction activities, managing supervisors, site crews and subcontractors to achieve safety, quality, programme and productivity targets
- Oversee construction planning, scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring plant, labour, materials and subcontractors are effectively coordinated
- Manage civil construction works, including site preparation, earthworks and infrastructure supporting solar installations and tracker systems
- Monitor project costs, budgets and construction progress, identifying risks, resolving delivery challenges and driving efficient project outcomes
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to supervisors and construction teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance
