- Liaise with commissioning teams regarding safety, access, isolations, tagging, shutdowns and tie-ins.
- Help minimise disruption to ongoing site operations during commissioning activities.
- Ensure defects, manuals, training materials, as-built drawings, spares and other required information are addressed before handover.
- Verify completion of defect items and support acceptance of completed projects on behalf of the Asset Owner.
- Ensure required personnel training is completed prior to commissioning and handover.
- Maintain effective communication between project teams and Asset Owner stakeholders.
- Support project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement and the sharing of best practice.

- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Supervisor or Group Leader role within an operations area.
- Previous experience in capital projects.
- The ability to provide informed advice to Asset Owners and project design teams.
- A thorough understanding of relevant safety, environmental, operational and maintenance requirements.
- An understanding of project cost-benefit analysis and capital expenditure criteria.
- A demonstrated ability to identify and apply current industry best practice.
You will also need strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, maintenance, construction and project teams.
About the role
This position plays an significant role in ensuring capital projects deliver practical outcomes for the people who will ultimately operate and maintain the assets. You will bring the plant perspective into project decision-making, coach engineers, group leaders, supervisors and tradespeople on operational and maintenance systems, standards and equipment status, and help ensure project outcomes meet operational requirements.
If you have significant operational or engineering experience, understand the realities of delivering capital projects in an operating plant environment, and enjoy bringing diverse technical teams together, we’d like to hear from you.
