About the Role:

This role is for an experienced Assistant Accountant based at our CRG office in Carrum Downs, Melbourne, and forms part of the Finance team.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

· Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will see you responsible for managing the day to day financial and administration functions includes:

· Maintain and follows sound accounting practices and procedures.

· Assist with month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal processing.

· ability to review, analyse, and understand Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements and identify key business drivers and variances.





· Assist the Finance Manager and business stakeholders with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.

· Creating, reconciling, and reporting an accounting pack with sufficient supporting documentation.

· Review and process the group fixed asset register

· Perform inventory reconciliations and support inventory control processes

· Create, distribute, and review annual branch FBT pack.

· Prepare group carbon emissions’ report.

· Contribute to the effectiveness of the team in terms of quality and productivity.

· Ad hoc assignments, projects and performing any other functions as required by the Finance department.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with progress towards CPA or CA qualification.

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong work ethic, accountability, and attention to detail.

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with Power Query and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and process improvement will be highly regarded.

· Proven experience managing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business, including team members and management.
