An established hospitality group is looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to join its Northern Beaches team. With food, drinks and entertainment drawing a varied crowd throughout the day and evening, you ll have plenty of variety and a team to help you deliver.

The Opportunity

Working alongside the General Manager, you ll help turn the daily plan into a successful service. You ll give the team clear direction, keep an eye on the details and ensure guests feel looked after, even when the venue is at its busiest.

Your responsibilities will include

- Running organised, energetic shifts and keeping service moving smoothly
- Coaching staff during service and helping emerging leaders build confidence
- Supporting rostering and adjusting staffing to suit expected trade
- Keeping track of wage costs, wastage and complimentary items
- Handling guest feedback with warmth, confidence and practical solutions
- Maintaining presentation standards throughout the venue
- Keeping communication clear between the floor, bar, kitchen and management
- Building the team s menu and beverage knowledge
- Making safe working practices part of every shift

Who we re looking for

You ve already built experience leading a hospitality team and are ready to take on more responsibility.



Your background could be in a busy restaurant, quality pub, bar or another service-focused venue where pace and standards go hand in hand.

You re someone who notices what needs doing and gets involved. You can reset a section, support a current team member or resolve a guest concern while keeping sight of the wider service.

You ll bring:

- Previous supervisory or management experience in a busy hospitality environment
- A confident floor presence and an approachable leadership style
- Good organisation and the ability to prioritise when plans change
- An understanding of staffing costs and efficient venue operations
- Pride in food, drinks and thoughtful service
- A current NSW RSA
