I'm looking for an experienced Azure Integration Lead to join a government organisation on a 12-month contract, with a view to extend.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly technical integration specialist with strong .NET development experience and deep hands-on expertise across Azure integration services, enterprise architecture and cloud-native solutions.

Our client requires a Azure Integration Lead to lead solution architecture design, application development, and support of enterprise applications, ensuring delivery within budget, agreed timeframes, and quality standards. The role will drive innovation and strengthen digital capability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage and maintain application platforms to ensure they remain current, efficient, and effective.
- Oversee technical deliverables across digital programs, including developing solution architecture designs and presenting them to the IT Security Architecture Review Board (IT-SARB).
- Develop and deliver system changes that meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Ensure high-quality application support and development across enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements

✅ .NET Development & Solution Design

- Minimum 10 years' experience in .NET development.
- Experience designing solutions for complex enterprise IT environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure.





✅ Azure Integration Services (AIS)

- Strong hands-on experience building integration workflows using Azure Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption), Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions.

✅ Data Transformation

- Expertise in mapping and transforming complex XML, JSON, flat files and EDI formats using XSLT and Liquid templates.

✅ Protocol & Line-of-Business Integration

- Experience integrating systems using REST, SOAP/WCF, SFTP and SQL databases.

✅ Messaging & Reliability

- Strong understanding of asynchronous messaging, publish/subscribe patterns, dead-lettering and scope-based error handling.

✅ Developer Tooling & ALM

- Proficiency in local development using Visual Studio/VS Code, Git version control and multi-environment deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.

✅ Monitoring & Diagnostics

- Experience tracing end-to-end message flows using Application Insights and Log Analytics, including KQL.

✅ Communication & Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Highly Desirable
- Demonstrated experience migrating legacy BizTalk Server solutions—including orchestrations, pipelines, schemas and maps—to contemporary, cloud-native Azure integration solutions.
