Main Beach Bakery, Gold Coast's most established and famous bakery in Tedder Ave Main Beach since 1976, is seeking an experienced Baker. The role involves baking all different bread and roll types, making pies and sausage rolls, pasties, and savouries. You will supply pastry to the pastry cook and assist them as needed. Start times are from 3pm, with approximately 6-8 hours daily in an air-conditioned workspace.
Key responsibilities
- Bake all different bread and roll types
- Make pies and sausage rolls, pasties, and savouries
- Supply pastry to the pastry cook and assist the pastry cook
- Monitor oven temperature and product appearance to determine baking times
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety guidelines for all products and working practices, including adhering to cleaning procedures
- Ensure food stored and cooked at the correct temperatures
- Inspect facilities or equipment for safety and productive running
- Order ingredients as required
- Improve and implement new recipes
About you
- Minimum 3-year baking experience
- Permanent work rights in Australia
- Able to work as part of a team and without supervision
