Ross's Auctioneers & Valuers is growing, and we are expanding our Business Development capability. Based in Welshpool, this position will play an significant part in growing our client base, securing new consignments and asset disposal opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and strengthening Ross's presence across the market.

About the role

You'll take an active role in growing Ross's client base and auction pipeline by prospecting for new clients and business opportunities, developing relationships with businesses and industry contacts and securing new auction consignments and asset disposal opportunities.

Key responsibilities

- Prospecting for new clients and business opportunities
- Developing relationships with businesses, government organisations and industry contacts
- Securing new auction consignments and asset disposal opportunities
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of prospective business
- Identifying opportunities within industries and markets




- Meeting prospective clients and understanding their commercial requirements
- Preparing proposals and negotiating commercial arrangements
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities for repeat business
- Developing referral and strategic partnership opportunities
- Working with internal teams to deliver an excellent client experience

About you

- Previous experience and knowledge in Machinery and/or Mining Industries
- Confidence prospecting and approaching new clients with strong networking and relationship building skills
- Commercial awareness and negotiation ability and the motivation to achieve sales and revenue targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to manage relationships from initial introduction through to securing business and ongoing account management
- A current Australian driver's license
