Business Development Representative (BDR)

About the Role

Are you ambitious, competitive, and confident speaking with new people? We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join an international sales team helping local governments improve their operations through modern technology and software solutions.

This is a high-activity, fully remote sales role where cold calling is a key responsibility . Your primary goal will be to connect with decision-makers across Canadian municipalities and book qualified product demonstrations for senior sales consultants.

Key Responsibilities

- Make outbound cold calls to prospective local government clients.
- Identify decision-makers and generate new sales opportunities.
- Communicate the value of software and consulting solutions.
- Handle objections, follow up with prospects, and book product demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate prospect records in HubSpot CRM.
- Work towards daily calling targets and weekly and monthly booking goals.





Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Confidence communicating over the phone and building rapport.
- Resilience, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in cold calling, telesales, appointment setting, or business development is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in SaaS or technology sales is a plus.
