Firm: My client is an established Chartered Accounting firm on the North Shore and are seeking their next Senior Accountant for the Business Services team. They are a modern accounting and advisory firm with offices nationwide and have developed a strong reputation in the marketplace demonstrated by a growing client base ranging across ASX listed, SMEs, large consolidated groups, HNW family groups and investments. The firm has had a strong track record of growth over many years and the partners and managers of this team have drawn on experience working across large professional accounting firms and global commercial businesses.

Role:

Reporting to the Partner, you will work across both compliance and advisory tasks while overseeing a small team.



You also will collaborate closely with clients to provide meaningful insights and support their long-term goals.

Some responsibilities include

- Managing a small portfolio of clients
- Training and overseeing the work of junior accountants
- Preparation and review of financial statements tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and various group structures.
- Attending to taxation matters including Div7A, GST, FBT & CGT and small business concessions
- Assist with tax advice around key SME tax areas

Applicants:

- Approximately 4 years (or more) Australian business services and tax experience
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong accounting systems proficiency and ability to adapt to new systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the client facing nature of role
- Demonstrate solid leadership and rapport building skills
