We are looking for a quality door installer who can be trained in the compliance issues of Fire Doors to ensure stringent perimeter gaps on top and sides are achieved. We would also train you in Passive Fire installations and also as a Fire Technician. Carpenters, Builders, Plasterers are probably best suited for this role.

Your responsibilities will include

- Fire Door and Fire Rated Frame installations and/or upgrades (Welding ability would be highly regarded but not essential)
- Door repairs; a few examples being - replacing locks or door closers, shaving doors to prevent binding, installing door upgrades to rectify excessive bottom gap etc.
- Fire inspections of residential, commercial and industrial buildings (training provided)
- Passive fire installations; a few examples being - building fire rated bulkheads, fire dampers, fire collars etc., (training provided)

Working around issues such as frames that are twisted or out of plumb, yet still managing to achieve a compliant installation is a must. We need someone who can think on their feet and find solutions, for example, change in floor levels.

You must be:

- Reliable - our jobs are booked weeks in advance with notices sent to the residents of the building of when we are coming, so it is paramount that reliability is maintained




- Organised - parts, materials and tools for each job should be collected and stocked in the van before you arrive at the job site
- Competent - you must be certain of what you are doing, measure twice, cut once
- Motivated - we want self-driven people in our team, who will step in to help wherever they are needed

We are looking for a full time person ideally, but we are also happy to look at part time or casual for the right applicant. If you are semi-retired for example and are still capable of hanging a few doors in a day, or climbing a ladder, we would welcome you with open arms. We are a very friendly team and can be flexible with hours if you want to work part time or casual. The choice is yours of how many days/hours you wish to work. We just need the right person who we can rely upon. Reliability is key.
