Are you an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a friendly, patient-focused environment? Lightwood Dental is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Casual Dental Assistant to join our team.
The role will primarily involve chairside dental assisting, with reception duties as required. Previous experience in both dental assisting and dental reception is essential.

Your Role Will Include
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists during clinical procedures.
- Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms.
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining strict infection control standards.
- Preparing instruments, equipment and materials for dental procedures.
- Supporting patients before, during and after treatment.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Managing appointments, answering phone calls and assisting with reception duties when required.
- Processing patient payments and health fund claims.
- Maintaining clinical stock and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous dental assisting and dental reception experience is essential.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilisation and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.
- Friendly, professional and confident when interacting with patients.
- Well-organised, reliable, punctual and able to multitask.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to cover casual shifts as required.
