Gold Coast Mediation & Resolution is seeking a Casual Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a casual position offering flexibility to work on an as-needed basis. As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in helping families navigate difficult transitions and resolve disputes in a constructive, neutral manner.
This position is fundamental to our mission of providing accessible, professional mediation services that support families through challenging circumstances and promote amicable outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting family mediation sessions with individuals, couples and families to facilitate resolution of disputes relating to parenting matters.
- Providing neutral, impartial support to help parties identify common ground and develop mutually acceptable solutions
- Assessing suitability of cases for mediation and screening for issues such as domestic violence or power imbalances
- Maintaining detailed records of mediation sessions in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements
- Adhering to confidentiality protocols and professional codes of conduct throughout all interactions.
What we're looking for
- Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or equivalent qualification recognised under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth)
- Demonstrated experience in conducting mediation sessions and resolving disputes.
- Current professional indemnity insurance or eligibility to obtain it.
