CHEF

Meadow Heights, Victoria | Full-time, permanent | $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Dallas Kebab & Cafe Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will help deliver consistently high-quality meals, support daily kitchen operations and maintain excellent food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Plan and prepare menus and dishes in consultation with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.

Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes to consistent quality, taste and portion standards.

Coordinate food preparation and service to ensure orders are completed efficiently during busy periods.

Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, food storage and wastage; assist with ordering supplies.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safe food handling, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Guide and train kitchen staff, oversee food preparation and contribute to smooth kitchen operations.

Monitor food costs, portion control and consistency, and respond professionally to customer feedback.





Skills and experience

Relevant commercial cookery qualification (Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent) and/or substantial relevant professional experience.

Demonstrated experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

Strong cooking, food preparation, time-management and teamwork skills.

Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and stock management practices.

Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and evenings as required.

What we offer A permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), an annual base salary of $80,000 plus superannuation, and the prospect to contribute to a busy hospitality team.
