Holding Yard Coordinator Position
We are seeking a Holding Yard Coordinator to manage and oversee the operations of our holding yard, ensuring efficiency, organisation, and compliance with all regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organise the holding yard by means of physical/manual labour and utilising a forklift
- Provide the highest level of phone etiquette by answering customer calls and service queries
- Accurate data entry and booking entries
- Coordinate the timely flow of information to and from our customers and other related departments
- Use initiative to find customer focused solutions
- Develop relationships with our drivers and key customers
- Monitor and maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
- Conduct routine yard inspections to ensure safety and security measures are upheld.
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role (towing, automotive, logistics, or yard management preferred).
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of vehicle storage regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Valid driver’s license and must have Forklift License.
- This role requires you to work under pressure, meet deadlines whilst having effective communication.
