Yarranlea Limited is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a casual basis - 6 hours per week. Potential to move to a part time role after probation period - 3 months. This role is based in Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122 and offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and properties. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our premises are maintained to the highest standards, addressing repairs and maintenance issues promptly, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs, servicing, and inspections of building systems, fixtures, and fittings
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, appliances, and facilities as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment and storage areas for tools and materials
- Support the overall operations team to ensure facilities remain in optimal working condition
What we're looking for
- Experience in maintenance and handyperson services or similar roles
- Strong practical skills and knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, and building systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Sound understanding of health and safety standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's license is desirable
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance
- Blue Card registered or ability to attain Blue Card
