About the role

All Seasons Communications Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support the preparation and coordination of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Working closely with engineers and project stakeholders, you will translate design information, survey data and technical specifications into accurate drawings that support project planning and construction. This role suits a candidate with strong CAD skills, sound technical judgement and a consistent commitment to quality and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

- Drawing production – Prepare civil engineering drawings, site plans, layouts, sections and construction details using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
- Drawing packages – Develop detailed drawing packages from engineering sketches, survey information, specifications and design calculations.
- Technical documentation – Assist engineers in documenting dimensions, levels, alignments and other technical requirements.
- Quality review – Check drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness, identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification before issue.
- Revisions – Incorporate design amendments, technical comments and verified site information into drawing revisions.
- Standards compliance – Prepare documentation in accordance with relevant Australian standards, project specifications and established drafting procedures.




- Stakeholder coordination – Liaise with engineers, surveyors, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve drafting queries and keep project information consistent.
- Document control – Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and organised electronic records.
- As-built drawings – Prepare and update as-built drawings from approved field mark-ups and verified construction information.
- Delivery – Manage assigned drafting tasks to meet agreed project deadlines.

Qualifications and experience

- Qualification – Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting or a related discipline, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience – Demonstrated experience preparing civil engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- CAD proficiency – Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent civil drafting software.
- Technical interpretation – Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey information, design sketches and technical specifications.
- Standards knowledge – Working knowledge of relevant Australian standards and civil drafting conventions.
- Attention to detail – Robust attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Professional skills – Effective communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Teamwork – Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a project team.
