We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Supervisor to join our Townsville team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced tradesperson who enjoys being actively involved on the tools while coordinating and supervising site activities. You'll work alongside our site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of workmanship.

The successful applicant will also work closely with BG Group management, site personnel, subcontractors and head contractors to coordinate works and maintain project progress.

Key Responsibilities

- Working on the tools alongside your team while overseeing daily site operations.
- Coordinating tradespeople, subcontractors and site activities.
- Plan and organise daily site activities, labour, materials and equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity and quality control.
- Promoting and enforcing workplace health and safety requirements.
- Liaising with project managers, builders and other site personnel.
- Assist with site measurements, material ordering and forward planning.




- Identifying and resolving onsite issues to maintain project progress.
- Mentoring and supporting team members to achieve positive outcomes.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and capable of taking ownership of their projects. Ideally, you will have:
- A trade qualification in carpentry, plastering or a relevant construction discipline.
- Strong experience in commercial construction.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes, quality standards and WHS requirements.
- The ability to read construction drawings and coordinate multiple trades.
- Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality and meeting project deadlines.
- A current driver's licence and Construction White Card.
