About Your New Employer:

West Recruitment is partnering with a major Australian infrastructure business responsible for operating and maintaining some of Sydney's most significant transport assets.

This is a substantial, established organisation with strong institutional backing, significant commercial arrangements and a critical role in Sydney's transport network.

With a focus on operational performance, commercial discipline and continuous improvement, the business is looking to strengthen its commercial capability with the appointment of an experienced Contracts Manager.

About Your New Role:

We're looking for someone who understands the commercial value behind them. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of a complex portfolio of contracts, working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and external suppliers.

You'll be responsible for protecting the business's commercial interests, challenging supplier performance and making sure contractual arrangements deliver genuine value.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the full contract lifecycle, including procurement, negotiation, execution and renewal.
- Negotiating commercial terms, contract variations, claims and disputes.
- Managing key supplier relationships and holding service providers accountable for performance.




- Identifying commercial risks, cost pressures and opportunities to improve value.
- Improving contract governance, reporting, compliance and internal processes.
- Overseeing fleet leasing contracts and associated commercial arrangements.
- Providing commercial advice and recommendations directly to the CFO and senior leadership team.

About You: You're a commercially minded Contracts Manager who knows the difference between managing a contract and managing a commercial outcome.

You'll ideally come from infrastructure, construction, utilities, transport or another asset-intensive environment where contracts are complex and supplier performance matters.
