We're seeking an experienced production cook for our kitchen in Brookvale. You'll be cooking in batches to a set schedule, so this is a role for someone who enjoys the rhythm of high-volume cooking and takes satisfaction in getting consistent, great-tasting food out the door. We're keen to hear from cooks with a background in food production, such as meal production, events and banqueting, nursing home kitchens, hospital or school catering.
If you've worked in a high-volume kitchen and you're organised, reliable and valuable at what you do, you'll fit right in.
Key responsibilities
- Cooking meal batches according to the daily cooking schedule
- Preparing, portioning and serving meals to specification
- Following our HACCP plan and food safety procedures at all times
- Keeping the kitchen and your work area clean, safe and well organised
- Working closely with the production team to meet daily targets
- Completing other kitchen tasks as directed
About you
- Recognised culinary qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
- Production cook experience in a high-volume environment
- Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Effective time management and the ability to work to a schedule
- A genuine passion for food
- A proactive, can-do approach
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- A great team player
- Right to work in Australia
