Villa Terenzio is part of Italian Aged Care Incorporated, a Charitable Not for Profit Organisation. We provide Residential Aged Care Services for 192 residents at Villa Terenzio in Marangaroo in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. Villa Terenzio is celebrating over 50 years of serving the local Community.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Casual Cook to join our established kitchen team.

The successful applicant will be able to work independently and as part of a supportive, professional team, reporting directly to the Head Chef.

This casual position involves both morning (AM) and afternoon/evening (PM) shifts.

Skills and experience

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/ or equivalent or higher qualifications
- And/or experience working in a commercial cooking workplace such as an Aged Care Facility or Hospital will be highly regarded.
- Able to effectively communicate in written and oral English
- Italian cooking background and language will be highly regarded




- Prepare and cook seasonal & culturally appropriate food as directed, meeting dietary requirements.
- Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
- Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

The successful candidate will have:

- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccination or Medical exemption
- Evidence of Australian work rights
- Aged care experience with a demonstrated passion for enhancing the lives of our residents living with Dementia
- Must be willing to attend a pre-employment medical assessment if required.
