As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled and reliable hospitality professional seeking plenty of hours, a variety of kitchen duties and the opportunity to work in a beautiful golf course setting.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Kitchen Hand / Cook to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. The successful applicant will have proven commercial kitchen experience, be confident with food preparation and basic cooking, and understand the demands of a busy hospitality environment. You will work alongside our kitchen team to deliver quality food and maintain excellent standards across our café, bistro, golf days, functions and events.

This role offers plenty of hours for the right candidate, with shifts varying according to operational requirements, bookings and events.

Weekend availability is essential, as our golf course and hospitality operations are busiest during weekends and special events.

Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:

- Preparing ingredients and assisting with daily food preparation.
- Cooking and assembling meals to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting chefs with the smooth running of daily kitchen operations.
- Assisting with food preparation for golf days, functions, tournaments and special events.
- Washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Ensuring food is stored, labelled and rotated correctly.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.




- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assisting with stock deliveries, storage and rotation.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and presentation.
- Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly.

About You

You will have:
- Previous commercial kitchen experience is essential.
- Experience as a kitchen hand, cook or in a similar hospitality role.
- Practical food preparation and cooking skills.
- Experience in a café, bistro, restaurant or function kitchen will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and protected food handling practices.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to get hands-on.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, public holidays and event days as required.
- A current Food Safety or Safe Food Handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one where required.
