Persian Kebab House is a Persian/Iranian restaurant located at Tunstall Square, Doncaster East, offering full dine-in service, takeaway, and delivery. We specialise in authentic Persian cuisine: charcoal-grilled kebabs, traditional stews, saffron rice dishes, Persian starters and fresh salads, prepared from traditional recipes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, full-time Cook who specialises in Persian cuisine to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking our menu to a consistently high standard across dine-in, takeaway, delivery and catering orders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic Persian dishes, including, but not limited to, charcoal-grilled kebabs (koobideh, barg, chicken/joojeh kebab), traditional stews (ghormeh sabzi, gheymeh, fesenjan) and saffron rice dishes (chelow, zereshk polo, baghali polo) Marinate meats and poultry using traditional Persian recipes, herbs, spices and saffron Examine foodstuffs for quality and freshness and prepare ingredients for daily service Regulate the temperature of charcoal grills,



ovens and other cooking equipment Portion food, prepare garnishes and accompaniments, and present dishes to a consistent standard Plan menus and daily specials with management and estimate ingredient requirements and food costs Prepare fresh Persian bread and accompaniments [remove if not applicable] Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards Assist with guiding and training kitchen staff Keep the kitchen, utensils and equipment clean and comply with all food safety regulations

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook in Persian or Middle Eastern cuisine in a commercial kitchen Trade qualification in commercial cookery (Certificate III or IV) or equivalent relevant experience Strong knowledge of Persian marinades, stews, rice preparation and charcoal grilling techniques Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements Ability to work in a quick-paced kitchen and to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a roster
