About our school
Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80kms west of Brisbane. The College opened in January 2021 and continues to grow enrolling a new cohort of students each year. Sophia College is seeking a Program Leader (LIFE Companion – Learning & Growth).

The Program Leader (LIFE Companion – Learning & Growth) is a strategic middle leadership role responsible for advancing student learning, engagement, progress and achievement across the College.

Guided by Sophia College’s Mission, Vision and Franciscan charism, the role leads the implementation of evidence-informed improvement initiatives, strengthens teacher capability through skilled learning and coaching, and ensures student support strategies are responsive, targeted and impactful. Working collaboratively with students, families, teachers and College leaders, the LIFE Companion fosters a culture of continuous improvement, data-informed decision-making and shared accountability, ensuring every student is supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.

This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2029). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.
