Cybersecurity Solution Architect

We’re looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Solution Architect to join a significant Perth-based organisation on an initial six-month contract. Sitting within a project delivery team, you’ll turn known cyber risks into practical, well-reasoned solutions as part of a broader security uplift program.

This role suits a hands-on architect who values outcomes over documentation. If you enjoy weighing up options, making clear recommendations and seeing designs through to genuine risk reduction, this is a chance to make a real impact.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

- Initial six-month contract with potential to extend
- $1,200 per day, inclusive of superannuation
- Fully on-site role based in Perth (5 days per week)
- High-visibility position working with senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Opportunity to shape a meaningful cybersecurity uplift program

THE ROLE Reporting into the project delivery function, you’ll take defined cyber problems and risks and shape them into options and designs the business can act on quickly. The focus is less on building current platforms and more on getting the most from existing capability across technology, process and people.

Key responsibilities include

- Assessing cyber risks, business needs and delivery constraints to clearly frame each problem
- Developing and comparing solution options, outlining risk reduction, cost, complexity, dependencies and operational impact
- Recommending fit-for-purpose designs that leverage current tools, and identifying new capability where justified
- Producing lean architecture artefacts such as diagrams,



options papers and decision records
- Taking designs through architecture governance for endorsement
- Defining the ownership, operating processes and skills required to sustain each solution
- Supporting delivery teams through implementation and resolving design questions as they arise

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Proven background as a cybersecurity or security solution architect in large, complex enterprise environments
- Track record of delivering measurable risk reduction, not just designing new systems
- Solid understanding of how controls, processes and clear accountability combine to deliver security outcomes
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and present balanced recommendations
- Sound judgement when balancing security, user experience, cost and pace of delivery
- Excellent written, visual and verbal communication with both technical teams and senior leaders
- Comfortable working in a lean, principle-based way, going into detail only where it adds value
