About the Role

At GFA, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, work closely with our Directors and play a meaningful role in helping clients make informed business decisions. You’ll enjoy a wide-ranging role spanning tax and compliance, tax planning and business advisory, with the support of a collaborative team that values professional development, work-life balance and a positive workplace culture.

Accounting, Tax & Compliance

- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns, and manage other taxation and compliance obligations as required.
- Ensure all work is accurate, timely and completed to a high professional standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve business performance and deliver value beyond traditional compliance services.

Business Advisory & Client Relationships

- Build trusted,



long-term client relationships and become a valued adviser to your clients.
- Assist with tax planning, forecasting, budgeting and business performance analysis.
- Provide practical insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and business growth.
- Work closely with our Directors to identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes and develop your advisory expertise.

About You

You’re a capable and proactive accountant who combines strong technical skills with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed. You take pride in delivering quality work, communicate confidently and enjoy contributing to a positive team environment.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- At least five years of Australian public practice accounting experience.
- Strong technical knowledge across accounting, taxation and compliance.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly.
- A professional, approachable manner,



with strong integrity and a genuine commitment to client service.
- A proactive attitude and a desire to develop your business advisory expertise.
