About the role

Quirindi Preschool Kindergarten Inc is seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director/Nominated Supervisor to lead our early childhood education service. This is a full-time position based in Quirindi, NSW 2343. As Preschool Director/Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and educational excellence of our preschool service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our service maintains the highest standards of early childhood education and care whilst creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where children thrive and families feel supported.

Key responsibilities

- Act as the Nominated Supervisor, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures set by the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the preschool, including staffing, budgeting, resource allocation and facility maintenance
- Recruit, supervise, mentor and support educators and support staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, carers and the broader community
- Ensure health, safety and wellbeing protocols are maintained across all areas of the service
- Manage incidents, complaints and grievances in accordance with regulatory requirements and service policies
- Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with early childhood education best practice

What we’re looking for

- Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Diploma or Bachelor level)
- Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance




- Eligibility to be nominated as the Nominated Supervisor under the National Quality Standards
- Proven experience working in an early childhood education and care setting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, families and the community
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of educators and support staff
- Sound financial management and budget administration experience
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and commitment to supporting children's learning and development
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in community engagement and building positive relationships with families
