Are you an experienced Database Designer with robust AWS Aurora PostgreSQL expertise? Join a high-performing Platform & Security team supporting critical business registry platforms that deliver secure, reliable and scalable services across Australia.

Role up to end of November 2027

Please note that you must hold NV1 clearance to be considered for this opportunity.

? About the Role

Working within an Agile delivery environment, you will collaborate with Application, DevOps and Architecture teams to deliver and support enterprise database platforms across AWS environments.

✅ Design and implement PostgreSQL database schemas, indexes and database artefacts

✅ Develop and optimise queries, functions and triggers for performance and data integrity

✅ Support integration with APIs, microservices and cloud-native applications

✅ Monitor and enhance database performance, scalability and availability

✅ Implement backup, recovery and disaster management strategies

✅ Support automated deployment pipelines and database migration activities

✅ Provide technical leadership, mentoring and code reviews





✅ Drive continuous improvement and best practice adoption

? What You'll Bring

✔ Extensive experience with AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL

✔ Strong database design, optimisation and performance tuning skills

✔ Experience working with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code

✔ Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and microservices environments

✔ Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

✔ Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

✔ Experience coaching and mentoring technical teams
