Duxton Vineyards (“DV”) is a large-scale, vertically integrated wine business located in the Sunraysia region of Australia. The business owns and operates over 1,423 hectares of wine grape vineyards in this region, as well as a large-scale winery. Producing 20% of the region’s annual fruit production and over 5% of Australia’s total annual crush, we use the latest groundbreaking technology and lead the way in sustainable environmental practices at scale.

The Role

Based at our Buronga Winery and reporting to the Site & Maintenance Manager, the Electrician is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance and repair of electrical networks, systems, circuits and equipment across the site, ensuring compliance with all electrical regulations, legislation and standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll manage our electrical employees and contractors, run the electrical preventative maintenance program, and ensure the site has the resources to carry out rapid repairs during all hours of operation in peak production periods. To meet operational demands, the role requires flexibility to work overtime and after-hours callouts, particularly during vintage.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage an effective electrical preventative maintenance program, ensuring compliance with all electrical regulations, legislation and standards.

- Diagnose faults and perform rapid repairs to minimise downtime.

- Design, install, test and commission electrical systems, circuits and equipment.





- Manage the performance and standard of work of electrical employees and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures.

- Ensure all electrical employees and contractors are trained in line with the work instructions for their tasks.

- Ensure adequate electrical resourcing to support rapid repairs during all hours of operation in peak production periods.

- Prepare and record purchase orders for the electrical department in Ezy Wine, following the purchase order procedure.

- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of site Quality, Food Safety, Environment and WHS management systems, and actively participate in HSE meetings.

- Conduct all workplace tasks with a strong commitment to Duxton Vineyards’ environmental and sustainability objectives, ensuring compliance with Company policies and relevant environmental laws and obligations.

- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Site & Maintenance Manager.

About You

- A relevant AQF trade qualification (Electrical)

- Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence

- NSW Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate

- Experience with automation and PLCs

- Refrigeration experience

- Solid communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a department

- Ability to plan and prioritise work and deliver results under pressure

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and after-hours callouts
