Full-time | Western Australia | FIFO & DIDO

- FIFO: 2 weeks on / 1 week off.
- DIDO: 5 days on / 2 days off.
- Perth metro work may also be available, depending on project requirements.

ABOUT US Synergy Surveys is a Western Australian company specialising in engineering and construction surveying, aerial mapping and machine control. Based in Osborne Park, we support civil construction, mining infrastructure and renewable energy projects throughout Western Australia.

Our expertise covers bulk and detailed earthworks, roads, concrete and structural surveying, as well as UAV mapping using LiDAR and photogrammetry.

With ongoing projects across WA, we’re looking for experienced Engineering Surveyors and Senior Engineering Surveyors to join our team. We offer varied work, modern equipment and a team of highly experience surveyors, with continued investment in training and professional development.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for delivering survey work on your allocated projects, working closely with team members, Client Engineers, supervisors and construction crews. The role combines fieldwork with survey calculations, data processing and preparation of project deliverables.

Responsibilities include

- Carrying out construction set-out’s, topographical, control establishment and as-built surveys.
- Interpreting construction drawings and design models, undertaking calculations and preparing survey data.
- Establishing and verifying survey control, and reports.
- Processing field data and preparing CAD drawings, surfaces,



volume calculations and survey reports.
- UAV LiDAR and photogrammetry surveys, including data capture and processing.
- Preparing and managing machine control models and files.
- Coordinating daily survey requirements with site teams and maintaining accurate QA and as-built records.

Senior applicants will also be expected to manage survey delivery on site, provide technical guidance and support the development of other surveyors.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for surveyors with sound technical knowledge, practical construction experience and the confidence to work independently while contributing to the wider team.

You’ll bring

- A relevant surveying qualification and at least three years’ engineering or construction surveying experience.
- Experience in earthworks, roads, concrete or structural surveying.
- Strong survey calculation and data processing skills, with the ability to interpret designs, identify discrepancies and check your results.
- Proficiency in CAD and surface modelling.
- Experience with robotic total stations, GNSS and levelling equipment, preferably Leica.
- Positive communication, organisation and problem-solving skills,



with a professional approach to clients, colleagues and site safety.

Experience with one or more of the following software packages is desirable:

- Field software: Leica Captivate and Carlson.
- Survey calculations, processing and modelling: Autodesk Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center (TBC) and 12d.
- UAV processing and mapping: Global Mapper, Pix4Dmatic, Pix4Dmapper and DJI Terra.

UAV surveying and LiDAR experience are highly desirable, particularly in data capture, point cloud processing and terrain modelling. A Remote Pilot Licence (RePL), machine control experience and familiarity with Main Roads WA requirements will also be highly regarded.
