Key Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute accurate welds
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment used in government facilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of welding tools and safety gear
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to WHS regulations and internal safety protocols
- Inspect and maintain welding tools, PPE, and equipment to ensure readiness and compliance
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly and participate in safety briefings

Qualifications & Experience

- Tertiary Qualifications equivalent to Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience in industrial, construction, or maintenance settings
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
