You know how to run family law matters. This firm will trust you to do it. We’re working with a well-established Sunshine Coast family law practice that has built a strong reputation for looking after its people as well as its clients.
This is a team that gives lawyers real ownership of their files, direct client relationships and the freedom to manage matters properly, without unnecessary layers or micromanagement.
You’ll have experienced senior lawyers around you when you need another view on something complex, but you won’t be second-guessed at every turn.
The Work
You’ll manage a broad family law caseload across matters such as:
- parenting and child-related disputes;
- property settlements;
- divorce and separation;
- domestic and family violence matters;
- financial agreements;
- negotiation and settlement work; and
- court proceedings where required.
The practice has a strong client base, and face-to-face service remains an important part of how the team works. You’ll be trusted to run your files autonomously, keep clients well informed and exercise sound judgement around strategy, negotiation and resolution.
Who This Role Will Suit The firm is open to all levels of experience.
You may be a lawyer with around 2+ years’ PAE who is ready for more ownership,
or a much more experienced family lawyer looking for a stable team, quality work and a less rigid environment.
What matters most is that you are a positive operator.
You’ll need solid family law experience, sound judgement, strong client skills and the confidence to manage your own caseload.
You’ll also need to be someone who values being part of a team. This is a close-knit practice and fit matters.
What You Can Expect
- autonomy over your own matters;
- access to experienced senior lawyers when needed;
- up to two days working from home for the right person;
- your own private office;
- dedicated car parking;
- a supportive, down-to-earth team;
- strong client contact; and
- a firm that has a genuine track record of looking after its people.
For a family lawyer who wants quality work, genuine autonomy and a team they can see themselves staying with, this is a role worth serious consideration.
