Working closely with our Farm Services, Stud and Farm teams, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining our farms and facilities to a high standard. This is a hands-on, practical role where you will identify maintenance requirements and ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our farms and facilities
- Fencing, gates, laneways, roads, yards and general farm infrastructure
- Maintenance of buildings, staff accommodation and other property facilities
- Grounds maintenance including mowing, slashing, spraying and weed control
- Water infrastructure including troughs, tanks, pumps and pipelines
- General maintenance and servicing of tractors, vehicles, mowers and farm machinery
- Undertaking preventative maintenance across the properties
- Assisting with farm improvement and infrastructure projects
- Working alongside external tradespeople and contractors when required
- Identifying maintenance issues and ensuring they are addressed promptly
About you
- Experience in agricultural operations,
farm maintenance, property maintenance or a similar role
- Strong practical maintenance and problem-solving skills
- Experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery
- Knowledge of fencing, water systems and general farm infrastructure
- Valuable organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- A strong work ethic and willingness to be hands-on
- A high level of attention to property presentation and maintenance
- The ability to work independently and show initiative
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams
- A current driver's licence
