Are you an experienced CNC machinist looking for a role where you can apply your existing skills, develop your programming capabilities and work on a variety of precision-manufactured components?

WAICE Seals is looking for a motivated and capable CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Perth.

We specialise in manufacturing high-performance hydraulic seals and seal kits for the mining, earthmoving and heavy equipment industries. Our work involves precision machining, tight tolerances and a diverse range of components used in demanding industrial applications.

All three of our CNC machines operate using Fanuc controls. We're looking for someone with solid CNC machining experience, good setup skills and a sound understanding of engineering drawings who is keen to further develop their CNC programming ability.

You don't need previous experience machining hydraulic seals, polyurethane or engineering plastics. We'll provide the chance to learn our specialised manufacturing processes.

About the role

Working as part of our manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for producing quality components while developing your technical skills and machining knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include

- Setting up and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- Selecting appropriate tooling, work holding and machining methods.
- Editing existing CNC programs and developing your programming skills.
- Measuring and inspecting components using precision measuring instruments.
- Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Identifying and resolving machining issues and contributing to process improvements.
- Learning to machine specialised polyurethane,



engineering plastics and other materials.
- Maintaining machinery, tooling and a clean, safe working environment.
- Working with the production team to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.

As your experience develops, you'll have the prospect to take on greater responsibility for CNC programming, machining methods and production efficiency.

About you

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a practical approach to problem-solving, and wants to continue developing their machining skills.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Previous experience operating and setting up CNC lathes.
- Experience with Fanuc controls, or transferable experience with similar CNC control systems.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A good understanding of machining tolerances, tooling and dimensional inspection.
- Some experience editing CNC programs or a strong willingness to develop programming skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety and attention to detail.
- A reliable, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You don't need to be an expert CNC programmer to apply. We value solid machining fundamentals, a willingness to learn and the ability to develop into a more capable and independent machinist. Experience machining hydraulic seals,



polyurethane or engineering plastics is not essential, as training will be provided.
