About the Role
Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising plant equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across production lines
- Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
- Working on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors and packaging machinery
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards in a food-grade environment
About You
You are a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent) You enjoy hands-on work, thrive on solving mechanical challenges, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. With a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement, you are motivated by keeping equipment running efficiently and contributing to a productive maintenance team.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in FMCG, food, or high-speed manufacturing environments preferred
- Robust mechanical fault-finding capability
- Ability to work independently on afternoon shift
- Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented
