Lead the finance function at a proudly South Australian manufacturer

Workspace Commercial Furniture designs and manufactures commercial furniture in South Australia. We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our leadership team. You’ll report directly to the CEO and be their key adviser on financial, commercial and strategic decisions.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role that is both strategic and operational. You’ll lead the finance team and own every part of the finance function, from month-end and budgeting through to banking, insurance and major commercial agreements.

A key focus is taking full ownership of our ERP system, Pronto. You’ll be its lead administrator, responsible for data integrity, configuration and continuous improvement, and you’ll make it work harder for the whole business.

What you’ll do

- Own and administer Pronto as the business’s single source of truth, including reporting, vendor management, user access and training.
- Lead month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting to management and shareholders.
- Develop and manage manufacturing costing models, monitoring labour, material and overhead variances.
- Advise the CEO on major financial, legal and commercial matters, including banking facilities, the insurance program, property and equipment leases, and asset finance.
- Make sure all statutory and tax obligations are met (ATO, BAS, STP, ASIC), and manage audits and internal controls.
- Lead, develop and support the finance team,

and provide back-up across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Find ways to automate and improve processes across finance, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and sales.

About you

- CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial management.
- Demonstrated experience administering and optimising Pronto Software.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction or a similar project-based industry.
- Strong background in reporting, cash flow, statutory compliance and payroll.
- You can turn complex financial analysis into transparent, practical recommendations that non-finance leaders can act on.
- Confident with senior stakeholders, highly accurate, and motivated by improving the way things are done.

Why join us

- A senior role with real influence, working directly with the CEO.
- The chance to shape and improve our systems and processes.
- Generous salary package on offer, in line with experience.

If you are looking to join a successful company that truly values their people, we want to hear from you!

How to apply

Click “Apply” and submit your resume and a cover letter explaining why you’re the right fit.

For a confidential discussion, contact our People & Culture Manager, Lisa Tippins-Yorke on [0406 382 211](tel:0406 382 211).

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. Respectfully, no recruitment agency referrals.
