HEAD OF SERVICE OPERATIONS - BALLARAT

Our Service Operations team is at the heart of this model. Our frontline teams are local to the communities our clients live in, bringing clinical care, client support and administrative support together to deliver the best possible care and experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll lead service operations across multiple neighbourhoods in the Ballarat region, making sure every service runs smoothly, meets our standards, and responds to what the community needs.

As the go-to escalation point and trusted expert for senior neighbourhood leaders, you’ll lift workforce performance and service quality, connect neighbourhoods into one joined-up service, and help shape the plans and decisions that drive local outcomes.

About You

As an experienced operational leader with a strong background in aged care you bring:

- Extensive management experience in Home and Community services, ideally leading multiple sites or service teams. Additional experience in residential aged care and housing services will be highly regarded.
- A nursing qualification (Registered Nurse preferred), with proficient knowledge of relevant funding, standards and legislative requirements, including the Aged Care Act and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- A track record of driving operational, financial and workforce performance, with strong skills in root cause analysis,



risk management and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate senior leaders and build high-performing, accountable teams.
- Established networks in the Ballarat Region and the ability to build partnerships that support service development and growth.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

Experience in retirement living and community services, tertiary management or business qualifications and change management will be highly regarded. Why mecwacare?
