Allied Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join a busy steel processing and distribution operation based in Hope Valley, WA.

Working across the Perth metropolitan area, you'll be responsible for safely transporting and delivering steel products, including loading your own truck using a forklift and ensuring all loads are correctly secured.

This position offers Monday to Friday work, typically 8-hour days, with flexibility required to work up to 10–12 hours depending on operational requirements. Start times will vary, with some days commencing as early as 5:00am.

What you'll be doing:

- Operating HR trucks delivering steel products across the Perth metro area
- Loading and unloading your own truck using a forklift
- Handling and securing heavy steel products using chains, straps and appropriate load restraint equipment
- Completing daily vehicle pre-start checks and inspections
- Maintaining delivery dockets, run sheets and required documentation
- Following fatigue management and safe driving requirements
- Coordinating deliveries with customers, warehouse personnel and management
- Reporting vehicle faults, hazards and maintenance requirements
- Maintaining high WHS and load safety standards

What we're looking for:

- Current HR-A Driver's Licence
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Minimum 2 years' professional HR truck driving experience
- Demonstrated forklift experience handling heavy or bulky loads
- Strong experience with heavy load restraint, including chains and straps
- Ability to safely load, secure and unload your own vehicle
- Valid Commercial Vehicle Driver Medical (CVDM), or willingness to obtain and pass
- Valid Fatigue Management certification, or willingness to obtain




- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening (DAS)
- Strong safety awareness and reliable work history
- Ability to work independently and manage daily deliveries
- Availability for flexible start times, including 5:00am, and to work up to 10–12-hour days when required

Experience:

Previous experience transporting steel, structural materials, fabrication products or other heavy industrial loads is highly regarded. Candidates with relevant HR driving experience across construction materials, manufacturing distribution or general freight are encouraged to apply, provided they have strong forklift operation and heavy load restraint experience.

- $47.50 per hour
