Western Sydney | Permanent | $95,000–$100,000 + Super + Overtime An established engineering and industrial systems business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join its production team in Western Sydney.

This is a hands-on workshop position focused on the manufacture and assembly of hydraulic power units and complete hydraulic systems. You’ll work from engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical specifications, taking builds from initial fabrication through to final assembly.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

Building and assembling hydraulic power units and systems

Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings

Mechanical fitting and assembly of hydraulic components

Light fabrication, welding and tube bending

Operating lathes and milling machines for component modification

Completing builds accurately to technical specifications

Managing multiple jobs and production priorities

Working closely with production, engineering and electrical teams

Maintaining high standards of quality,



safety and workshop housekeeping

What We’re Looking For

Mechanical trade qualification, ideally Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent

Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience

Previous experience building or assembling hydraulic power units or hydraulic systems

Solid ability to read hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings

Mechanical fitting and assembly experience

Welding, fabrication and tube-bending experience would be advantageous.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple builds
