Pet Therapy:

Provide meaningful interactions and companionship through visits with your trained therapy animal.

Jam & Jive – Music & Movement:

Lead fun, interactive group sessions using music, rhythm, movement and familiar songs.

ThRive Airways – Armchair Travel:

Take residents on engaging virtual adventures around Australia and the world.

Therapeutic Recreation:

Use your skills, interests and creativity to develop engaging experiences tailored to residents' needs.

Specialised Group Programs

Share your talents, hobbies or professional skills through unique activities and themed sessions.

Flexible work through the ThRive Contractor Portal ThRive contractors have access to a dedicated contractor portal app, making it easier to explore and manage available work opportunities. Through the portal,



contractors can:

- Browse available sessions across participating aged care facilities.
- View session opportunities before deciding whether to accept them.
- Choose sessions that suit their availability, interests and location.
- Review available opportunities and agree to sessions that work for them.

Who are we looking for? To be considered, you will need:

- A relevant qualification or certification in aged care, health, leisure and lifestyle, therapeutic recreation or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working within aged care Leisure and Lifestyle teams.
- A relevant pet therapy certification if providing pet therapy, or a willingness to obtain the required certification through ThRive's training program.
- A genuine passion for working with older Australians.
- Strong communication skills, reliability and the ability to work independently.
- A professional, caring and resident-focused approach.
- Applicants interested in specialist programs must hold, or be willing to obtain, any relevant training or certifications required for their service.

New to contracting? We'll help you get started! You don't need to have everything set up before expressing your interest.



Successful candidates will receive guidance and support to work towards becoming an independent contractor, including assistance with understanding how to:

- Obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Arrange appropriate business and public liability insurance.
- Identify and obtain any required qualifications, training or certifications.
- Understand the expectations and responsibilities of working as a ThRive contractor.
- For eligible pet therapy contractors, ThRive's training program provides a pathway to develop the skills and certifications required, with opportunities to progress as you gain experience and complete training.

Session resources and equipment Depending on the service you deliver, you may need specific equipment, materials or resources to run your sessions. Contractors have the option to:

- Purchase their own session resources at their own expense, allowing them to build and maintain their own collection of equipment.
- Hire session resources through ThRive, where available, providing access to suitable materials without needing to purchase everything upfront. This flexibility allows contractors to choose the approach that best suits their needs and budget.

You remain in control of how you run sessions, the equipment you wish to use, which available sessions you choose to accept helping you manage your own schedule around your other work and commitments. Pay: $90.00 – $150.00 per hour
