We’re partnering with a well-established Hamilton insurance broker looking for an experienced Claims Manager to join its commercial claims team. This is a business where claims matter. The claims team handles everything end to end, so brokers can focus on broking, and clients get one person who knows their claim inside out. Why you'll love this role: Generous salary package benefits A supportive team where everyone pitches in Work alongside highly experienced claims managers with around 80 years’ experience between them Senior technical support when a claim gets complicated Plenty of variety, from farms and workshops to professional firms and builders Full time in the office during probation, then hybrid with 3 days in the office A growing, financially strong business with a consistent track record What you’ll be doing: Managing a portfolio of around 150 commercial claims from lodgement through to settlement Advocating for clients across liability, professional indemnity, property and construction claims Reviewing policy wordings to make sure clients get their full entitlement Keeping clients and brokers in the loop with regular,



proactive updates Handling upset clients with calm and empathy, and only looping in brokers when it’s needed Making sure every claim is lodged and progressed on time Keeping claims records accurate and up to date Pitching in on colleagues’ files when you have capacity They will love your background in: 10 years commercial claims experience with a broker, insurer or loss adjuster Broad product knowledge across commercial lines, especially liability Robust organisation and the ability to manage a high-volume portfolio Excellent communication with clients, brokers and insurers Being a team player who’s happy to help others Living in Hamilton or the Waikato, or being keen to relocate Sounds interesting?
