About Allied Security Management
Allied Security Management is a trusted provider of professional security services across Australia, delivering event security, mobile patrols, crowd management, guarding, and integrated security solutions. We operate across hospitals, retail precincts, councils, commercial assets, and government environments, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and service excellence.
Position Summary
Are you an experienced security professional ready to step into an operational leadership role? We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Junior Operations Manager – Security (Health) to support the delivery of high-quality security services across our Health portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Supervisor, Site Manager, Security Manager or Senior Security Officer looking to progress into operational management.
Working closely with security officers, site personnel, clients and management, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our security operations run smoothly, staffing requirements are met, compliance standards are maintained and service delivery remains consistently high.
As the primary operational escalation point for security officers, you’ll provide day-to-day guidance, resolve operational challenges and escalate significant issues to the State Operations Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
Rostering & Workforce Oversight
- Monitor daily and weekly rosters, attendance and staffing coverage across Health sites.
- Identify roster gaps and coordinate shift replacements as required.
- Escalate ongoing staffing issues to the State Operations Manager.
Site & Guard Auditing
- Conduct regular site inspections and guard audits to ensure compliance with company, client and site-specific requirements.
- Monitor officer presentation, punctuality,
performance and adherence to site procedures.
- Document findings, follow up corrective actions and escalate significant issues.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversee daily security operations across multiple Health sites.
- Support security officers with operational queries, incidents and staffing issues.
- Coordinate site requirements, uniforms, equipment and operational resources.
- Identify and resolve operational issues within delegated authority.
Guard Escalation & Frontline Support
- Act as the primary operational escalation point for security officers.
- Respond to operational emergencies, shift coverage requirements and site-related concerns.
- Provide frontline security coverage when required to maintain service continuity.
A Hands-On Operational Leadership Role
This is not a desk-only management position. You’ll be actively involved in site visits, audits, workforce coordination and frontline operational support.
When operationally required, you’ll be expected to step into frontline security duties to cover unexpected vacancies, emergencies or staffing shortages. You must therefore maintain the appropriate security licence, qualifications and competencies required to perform guarding duties at applicable Health sites.
Your willingness to lead from the front will be essential to maintaining operational continuity and supporting our teams when it matters most.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a proactive, organised and solutions-focused security professional with the confidence to lead,
communicate and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the security industry.
- Essential experience in a Security Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Security Manager or similar operational leadership role.
- Proven experience managing security officers, rostering and workforce coordination.
- Experience conducting site inspections, guard audits and compliance checks.
- Current security licence and relevant qualifications.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
- Professional presentation, a customer-focused approach and flexibility to provide frontline operational coverage when required.
Why Join Allied Security Management?
- Lead high-profile events and mobile patrol operations across diverse environments.
- Work within a NOC-supported, professionally governed security operation.
- Be part of a growing organisation with opportunities for advancement and portfolio expansion.
