About the role

Ryans Solicitors & Attorneys is seeking a Junior Solicitor to join our legal team in Maroochydore, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to work across many areas of law, particularly wills, estates, property and conveyancing. You will provide expert legal guidance to clients navigating the complexities of their affairs. This role is integral to our firm's reputation for delivering advice during sensitive and high pressure times in our clients' lives.

Key responsibilities

- Drafting wills, powers of attorney, enduring powers of attorney and other estate planning documents.

- Advising clients on estate planning, trusts, succession planning and asset protection.

- Managing deceased estates, including probate applications, letters of administration and estate distributions.

- Handling estate disputes, family provision claims and other succession matters.

- Managing residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including property sales, purchases and transfers.

- Drafting and reviewing contracts for sale, leases and other property-related documents.

- Advising clients on property law matters, contractual obligations, title issues and settlement requirements.

- Conducting property searches and due diligence, preparing settlement documentation and coordinating settlements.

- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, lenders, financial institutions and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently.

- Maintaining accurate files, monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and professional obligations.





- Managing matters from initial instructions through to completion while providing explicit and practical advice to clients.

What we're looking for

- Admission to practice as a solicitor in Queensland

- Ideally minimum of 2 years' experience

- Excellent drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail

- Superior client communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly

- Professional and empathetic approach to working with clients during sensitive personal matters

- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple files simultaneously
