The role and duties

This is a permanent part time role (three days per week) which requires a proactive, reliable individual who enjoys supporting others and doing interesting, varied work. The role is focused primarily on practice support and administration, including billing, file management, document preparation and client correspondence. As you develop, you will also assist our lawyers with legal research and drafting, with legal work increasing as your skills and studies progress.

The role may suit a law student going into their penultimate year of study in 2027 (graduating at the end of 2028) who has the capacity to work three days per week whilst studying.



Our hope is that the position may lead to a graduate lawyer role based on performance. Additional qualifications in commerce, accounting or finance are preferred given the nature of the legal work we do.

Key capabilities

- Strong organisational, time management, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills

- Ability to undertake general administration duties, including billing and file management

- High attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proven ability to develop and maintain workflow systems

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Advanced word processing skills and knowledge of the MSOffice suite

- Ability to work autonomously and in a team

Salary

Full-time equivalent of $65,000–$70,000 inclusive of superannuation, depending on experience.
