We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Leading Hand to coordinate day-to-day factory production, maintain quality standards and lead a small team. This is a working leadership role with the potential to develop into a Production or Factory Manager position.
Key responsibilities
- Plan daily work, allocate labour and coordinate mould and formwork availability.
- Lead and assist with formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, finishing and patching.
- Carry out pre-pour reinforcement and formwork checks and final quality sign-off.
- Read drawings and ensure products are made to specification and programme.
- Organise materials, consumables and purchasing requirements.
- Coordinate staff activities, timekeeping and leave advice.
- Maintain safe, tidy and efficient factory operations.
- Work with management to improve quality, workflow and productivity.
About you
- Practical experience in precast concrete, formwork,
concreting or a related field.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and solve production problems.
- Experience leading people or readiness to take the next step into supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and accountability.
- Willingness to work on the tools and take ownership of factory outcomes.
